I Am Back!! Sorry about the Absence! They are Vegan Certified, Paraben Free, and formulated without Mineral oil or harmful additives! Which brings me to my new Love GREEN JUICE!! I have been juicing on and off for years! I usually go through periods and then stop! I stop because it is truthfully a pain to juice. I have started juicing more than I need and storing the extra in glass mason jars in the fridge until I use it all up. Which means instead of juicing every day, I juice every other day, and always have some ready to go! I also have been keeping like colored veggies together so the juice is a beautiful color. Curried Barley Salad

This Curried Barley Salad is from this months bon appetit   This months magazine has a fabulous section filled with grain salads. I made the Curried Spelt Salad but substituted barley for the spelt. I also made the Quinoa Tabbouleh. Both excellent. Curried Barley Salad Quinoa Tabbouleh

Turkey Taco Salad

This is my easy Turkey Taco Salad that my kids love. Ingredients 1 lb. ground turkey 2 Tbs. chili powder 1/2 Tbs. olive oil Greens of your choice( I always use romaine, I also throw arugula, baby chard, or kale in) Carrots shredded ( I buy them this way from Trader Joe's) 2 green onions, chopped 1 sweet red pepper,chopped 1/2 pint of cherry tomatoes, halved 1-2 avocados, chopped Tortilla chips, crushed Shredded jalapeƱo jack cheese( I buy this at Trader Joe's ) I use bottled french dressing, you could make your own Start by browning the turkey in olive oil, add the spices and set aside. Assemble the rest of the salad, then add the turkey and dressing. You have dinner! Enjoy and let me know how you like it.

Picnic For Dinner Tonight

 Picnic For Dinner Tonight...Isn"t this a cute basket? This Pasta Salad is my son Tyler's favorite. I use cheese tortellini and mediterranean ingredients, the dressing is an oil and balsamic vinegar perfect for a picnic dinner. Mediterranean Pasta Salad Ingredients 1 pound of cheese tortellini cooked according to the package 1/2 cup of julienned sun dried tomatoes 1/2 cup of marinated artichoke hearts 1/2 cup of kalmata olives, halved 2 small perisan cucumbers, chopped 1 sweet red pepper, chopped 1 carrot, chopped 1/2 small red onion chopped 1 handful of fresh basil, chopped 1 handful of feta cheese, crumbled Drizzle of olive oil Drizzle of Balsamic Vinegar Salt and Pepper to taste I made my salad this afternoon and placed it in the fridge for dinner. I also like to serve it with a rustic European stone-hearth bread from our local bakery Bread and Cie. For tonight we are having Black Olive
